Theft of lakhs from councilor’s house, case registered
Ambikapur. Unidentified thieves broke the lock of a house located in Tendupara of Manipur police station area and stole gold and silver jewelery along with 70 thousand rupees worth of gold kept inside the house. In this case, the police have registered a crime against unknown thieves.
However, the people nearby are quite scared due to the incidents of theft in the area. According to the information received, Congress councilor Naresh Ekka, resident of Lakshmipur Tendupara, had gone to attend the Parsapali program with his family at 6 pm on January 8.
When the family returned home the next day, the gate lock was broken. Inside, the latch of the main door was broken and the lock of the cupboard was broken.
Along with Rs 70,000 received from the sale of paddy, three pairs of silver anklets, two pieces of gold tops, four nose rings and a silver toy were kept in the cupboard. Unknown thieves stole jewelery along with cash. The family members have informed this to Manipur Police. Police have registered a crime in the case.
