Cyclist group creates history, completes third consecutive Kargil to Kanyakumari expedition
Hyderabad: Urban cycling group ‘Hyderabad Cyclists Group’ (HCG) has etched its name in the history of Indian cycling with an innovative achievement. The Conquistador conquered a 3,800 km expedition from Kargil to Kanyakumari from November to December 2023, setting a new benchmark for cycling in the country. Guided by Ravinder Nandanuri, founder of HCG and a passionate defender of cycling, the journey began at the Kargil War Memorial on 21 November. Enduring the extreme climatic conditions, the team showed immense resilience and dedication, ending their campaign victoriously on 13 December. This achievement is not just about covering great distances; Represents the broader mission of promoting cycling for a healthy India. Surprisingly, this is HCG’s third consecutive win in this challenging journey, making them the first Indian team to achieve this feat. Additionally, 39 cyclists from Hyderabad completed the route in just two years, highlighting the growing community of cycling enthusiasts inspired by HCG’s efforts. Ravinder Nandanuri led the team on this long challenging but rewarding journey, exemplifying his commitment to cycling.
