Woman gives birth to newborn in train toilet, mother and child in hospital
Dhanbad. A woman gave birth to a child in a moving train in Dhanbad-Koderma railway section of Jharkhand. Later, the mother and the newborn child were taken down at Koderma railway junction and taken to the hospital through an ambulance. The woman is a resident of Kanpur village in Uttar Pradesh. She was traveling with her husband. It was told that at midnight on Tuesday, 21 year old Sajia Parveen, who was traveling in the general bogie of Netaji Express train, started having labor pains. Her husband took her to the toilet of the bogie. It was her husband who helped her and gave birth in the toilet. When the child’s laughter was heard, the passengers informed about it on the railway helpline. The train reached Koderma station at 1:16 pm. Head constable RR posted at the station. Kumar and constable Anand Kumar dropped the mother and newborn at the station with the help of female passengers and called an ambulance from the Railway Protection Force and admitted them to Sadar Hospital Koderma at around 2.45 am. The staff of Sadar Hospital examined the mother and child. On Wednesday morning, the woman left for her in-laws’ house, Parasnath, with her husband and child. The woman’s husband said that he is a resident of Kanpur Dehat in Uttar Pradesh. The time of delivery of his pregnant wife was nearing, whom he was going to take to his in-laws’ house, Parasnath. He told that in the emergency situation at night, the Railway Protection Force and railway passengers helped him a lot.
