Gym fined Rs 50,000 for illegal advertising, FIR registered

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today fined Rs 50,000 and registered an FIR on a gym for illegal advertising.

According to reports, BMC officials imposed fine on ‘Avis Fitness’ under SE zone in Bapuji Nagar. Furthermore, they filed an FIR at the Capital Police Station for its illegal advertising and pasting of posters on walls and monuments, telephone boxes etc.

The city civic body said it is taking massive steps to keep the city clean. It is clearing garbage and changing the landscape of the city to make the area more pleasant.

Besides, it is conducting intensive public awareness programs to garner community support for the development of the city. However, some violators are deliberately causing trouble by pasting posters. All these works create traffic problems and hamper the beauty of the area. Therefore, such action will be taken against the violators.
