P Khel receives farm machineries
The kick off programme of adoption of Pfuchatsumia Khel of Kohima Village under the Village Adoption Committee (VAC) for 10-Northern Angami-I Assembly Constituency and handing over of farm machineries was held at P Khel Council Hall here on Sunday. Advisor of School Education & SCERT, Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome in his address expressed the hope that departments were part of VAC would work together in cohesion with P Khel Council in a bigger way.
He maintained that the VAC activities would be percolated to other three khels of Kohima village on successful implementation in P. Khel.
Yhome also lauded the P Khel Council in keeping the development of the Khel above individual interest.
He later handed over agri farm machinery including a tractor, 3 power tillers and 2 grass cutters to P Khel Council for promotion of agricultural activities through VAC.
Chairing the programme, EAC & convener of VAC Dr Riku Khutso informed that under the project, 10 departments have come together to work for the welfare of the P Khel and therefore sought the support and cooperation of the P Khel Council towards the successful implementation of the project.
He also informed that the VAC in consultation with the council would come out with an action plan for different activities to be implemented by the departments. District Project Officer, department of Land Resource, Dr Menuosietuo Tseikha shared the purpose of village adoption and also about the projects available under the department.
Delivering the welcome address, P. Khel Council chairman Kelhousietuo Rutsa appreciated the advisor, Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome for choosing P. Khel to be the first in Kohima Village under VAC. He also lauded him for handing over agri farm machinery through the Rural Development department to P Khel Council.
The departments that were part of VAC include Kohima Municipal Council Administrator Lanusenla Longkumer, Executive Engineer PHED (Urban) Kohima Neilhoukholie Chielie, Chief Veterinary Officer Kohima Dr Rokozo Dolie, Functional Manager DIC Kohima Jessy Jurry, Assistant Controller LMCP Shiloh Kath, Welfare Inspector of Department of Social Welfare Zahebeituo Kire and JE in BDO Kohima Imnatuba Jamir.
The departments, while presenting their activity plan, assured all possible support and to implement the centrally sponsored schemes and state government schemes in P. Khel. Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Department of Cooperation, Rokovisa Chase tendered the vote of thanks and also highlighted the activities of the department.
