NDA stalwarts gathered at the Chief Minister’s residence

Senior leaders of BJP, Janata Dal United and other allies of NDA attended the meeting held at Lok Sevak residence in the presence of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. The main objective of the meeting was to prepare a common strategy of the alliance for the Legislative Council elections and to bring all the constituent parties on one platform in support of the candidates.

Many senior leaders including JDU National Working President Sanjay Jha, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi, JDU State President Umesh Singh Kushwaha and Minister Santosh Kumar Suman were present in the meeting.

Apart from this, other leaders and officials of the alliance also gave their suggestions regarding election preparations. During this, special emphasis was laid on organizational coordination and making election campaign effective.

Strategy to win all eight seats

Voting is to be held on eight seats of Bihar Legislative Council on October 23. These seats include four graduates and four teachers constituencies. NDA has made a joint strategy to support its candidates on all seats.

BJP and Janata Dal United are contesting elections on four seats each. In such a situation, the challenge before the alliance is to conduct a joint election campaign in favor of all the candidates and reach out to the voters.

Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said in the meeting that NDA will have to show its unity in the elections. He urged the leaders of the constituent parties to maintain mutual coordination and make joint efforts for the victory of the alliance candidates.

In the meeting, there was also discussion on ensuring participation of leaders and workers of all allied parties during the election campaign.

Important meeting will be held again on October 9

In the meeting held on Wednesday, it was also decided that a meeting of the NDA Legislative Party will be held on Friday, October 9. This meeting will be held at the Chief Minister’s residence.

Apart from NDA MLAs and Legislative Council members, alliance MPs have also been called in this meeting.

BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi said that NDA is united regarding the Legislative Council elections. He said that a meeting of all the major public representatives of the alliance has been called on October 9 to finalize the election strategy.

In this meeting, further preparations regarding election campaign and support of the candidates will be discussed.

Controversy between Neeraj Kumar and Anant Singh also arose

The ongoing dispute between JDU Legislative Council candidate Neeraj Kumar and MLA Anant Singh also came to light in the NDA meeting.

JDU has fielded Neeraj Kumar as its candidate from Patna Graduate constituency. However, JDU MLA Anant Singh is seen opposing him.

Anant Singh has supported Jan Suraj Party candidate Anuj Singh. After this development, political differences have come to light within JDU.

This dispute was discussed in the meeting and the leadership of the political party concerned was asked to find a solution to the matter.

NDA leaders clarified that any internal dispute of any party within the alliance will have to be resolved by the leadership of that party. This should not affect the joint election campaign.

Discussion on nomination of RLMO leader also

The issue of nomination of Rashtriya Lok Morcha leader Rampukar Sinha was also raised in the meeting.

Apart from the official candidates of the alliance, there is concern in the NDA regarding the entry of leaders associated with the allies into the election fray.

It was emphasized in the meeting that talks should be held with the leaders of the respective parties contesting against the alliance candidates.

The responsibility of resolving such matters has been given to the leadership of the respective constituent parties. Time is fixed till October 9 for the withdrawal of nominations of the candidates.

The NDA leadership wants that mutual differences should be resolved before the withdrawal process is completed, so that the authorized candidates of the alliance can get the support of all the allies.

NDA will run a joint campaign

An important decision regarding election campaign was also taken in the meeting. All the constituent parties of NDA will support the candidates of the alliance through their respective organizations.

Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary told the leaders that during the elections, importance should be given to the collective interest of the alliance instead of giving priority to any one party.

Under this, a strategy has been made to ensure joint participation of leaders and workers of allied parties in the campaign.

The NDA’s effort is to effectively reach out to voters in graduate and teacher constituencies in favor of the alliance’s candidates.

Opposition parties also intensified preparations

In the Legislative Council elections, NDA faces a challenge from Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress, Jan Suraj and other candidates.
