Raipur, Youth arrested for selling liquor near Ravanabhatha Chowk
Raipur. A young man selling liquor near Ravanabhatha Chowk has been arrested. According to the information, the police had received information that a person had kept liquor in a bag near Ravanbhatha Chowk under Mandir Hasaud area and was planning to sell it. On which, under the guidance of senior officers and under the leadership of station in-charge Mandir Hassaud, the team of police station Mandir Hassaud went to the said place mentioned by the informer, identified the person, identified him and caught him.
During interrogation, the person revealed his name to be Neelkanth Sen, resident of Ravanabhatha Temple, Hasaud Raipur. When the team members searched the bag kept with him, it was found to contain country liquor. When Neelkanth Sen was asked for valid documents regarding the possession of liquor, he was continuously trying to mislead the team members by not presenting any kind of document. On which the accused Neelkanth Sen was arrested and 32 pauvas of country liquor worth about Rs. 4,000/- were seized from his possession and crime number 702/23 under section 34(2) of Excise Act was registered against the accused in Police Station Mandir Hasaud. Action was taken.
