New Delhi: Congress MP Karti Chidambaram appeared before the Enforcement Directorate here on Saturday in a money laundering case related to the issuance of visas to some Chinese nationals in 2011. Official sources gave this information.
The ED case pertains to allegations of payment of Rs 50 lakh as bribe to Karti and his close associate S Bhaskararaman by a top executive of Vedanta group company Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), which was setting up a power plant in Punjab.
