Action against those ordering weapons online, action taken against 64
Dhamtari. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Prashant Thakur, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Madhulika Singh, under the leadership of SDOP KK Vajpayee, DSP Neha Pawar, all police stations including police station Kotwali were equipped with knives and on-line pistols and sharp weapons to curb criminal activities. Action has been taken against the accused under Section 25, 27 of the Arms Act.

Strict action has been taken against 64 accused under the Arms Act. Even before this, other cases of assault and knife fighting were registered against these accused. Complaints were being received from those who ordered knives online, now strict action will be taken to curb them. Cyber team in-charge has been directed to keep an eye on those ordering knives and sharp weapons online. To maintain peace in the city, the Dhamtari police is also appealing to the common citizens to immediately inform the police station about someone threatening people with a knife so that action can be taken against them. The identity of those giving information will be kept confidential. . The police will continuously take effective action against such knife-wielding miscreants.
In line with this, the Superintendent of Police has also given instructions to take effective action against such criminals by holding regular meetings of gazetted officers and police station in-charges. The police is continuously carrying out intensive action against miscreants and knife-wielding accused in the police station areas.
