Chief Minister Sai and Judev had deep intimacy
Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today lit the lamp and garlanded it in front of the life-size statue of late Dilip Singh Judev installed near Ranjeeta Stadium in Jashpur district headquarters. On reaching here, the traditional Sarhul and Karma dance troupes from village Komdo and Bumtel welcomed the Chief Minister with their attractive presentation. During this time, a large number of people including MLA Raimuni Bhagat and Mrs. Gomti Sai, Prabal Pratap Singh Judev, Krishna Rai, Raju Gupta were present.
It is noteworthy that late Dilip Singh Judev, born in the then royal family of Jashpur on March 8, 1949, was of a very easy-going, simple and humble nature. He had deep cordial relations with the people of Jashpur, especially among the tribal community, he was very popular. Judev’s father late Raja Vijay Bhushan Singh Dev was the last ruler of Jashpur.
Late Dilip Singh Judev was a Rajya Sabha MP thrice and Lok Sabha MP once. He was also the Minister of State for Environment and Forests in the government led by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. There was a deep intimacy between Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and late Dilip Singh Judev. As long as Judev was alive, he remained continuously active in the development of the area along with Chief Minister Sai.
