Congress leader and BJP councilor had given contract to kill Aseem Rai

Kanker. Political conspiracy is coming to light behind the murder of former Nagar Panchayat President of Pakhanjur and BJP District Vice President Asim Rai. The SIT formed by the state government to investigate the murder has arrested 12 accused, including Nagar Panchayat President Bappa Ganguly and Councilor Vikas Pal. The main shooter Vikas Talukdar is absconding. Let us tell you that on January 7, BJP District Vice President and former Nagar Panchayat President of Pakhanjur, Asim Rai, was shot dead in Pakhanjur of Kanker district. Aseem Rai’s supporters created a ruckus in protest against the incident that took place in Purana Bazar area, after which the state government constituted a SIT to investigate the murder.

SIT has arrested 12 people after investigation, which also includes Nagar Panchayat President Bappa Ganguly and Councilor Vikas Pal. According to sources, investigation revealed that Pakhanjoor Nagar Panchayat President and Congress leader Bappa Ganguly and BJP councilor Vikas Pal had given contract to shooter Vikas Talukdar for the murder of Aseem Rai.

Home Minister Vijay Sharma and Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap have reached Pakhanjoor to meet the family of late BJP leader Aseem Rai. It has been told that after the meeting, the police will reveal the murder case in a press conference.
