Smuggler selling illegal ganja near drain culvert arrested

Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Aggarwal has given necessary guidelines to all the police gazetted officers of Raipur Police, including station in-charges, in-charge anti-crime and cyber units, to detect and effectively curb the black drug trade and to take action against them. . On which all the police gazetted officers, station in-charges and the team of anti-crime and cyber units are collecting information regarding drug dealers by employing informers, patrolling and collecting information. In the same context, on 14.01.2024, Urla police station received information that a person was keeping and selling illegal ganja in Urla near Kanhera Bypass Road Nala Pulia.
On which senior officials and City Superintendent of Police Urla Avinash Mishra directed the station in-charge Urla Brijesh Kushwaha to catch the accused red handed with ganja. On which, under the direction of senior officers, Urla police station went to the said place and identified and arrested the person of the address and appearance given by the informer. During interrogation, the accused revealed his name as Tarachand Bandhe, father Madho Bandhe, age 22 years, Sakin Nimorabhatha police station Dharsinwa district Raipur. After the team members searched the green colored cloth bag near the accused, drug substance in two Khaki colored packets inside the bag, a total of one kg 196 grams of ganja, worth Rs 12000 was seized and crime number 25 was registered against the accused in the police station Urla. /23 An offense under Section 20B Narcotics Act was registered and action was taken. The accused has been sent on judicial remand today on 15.01.2024.
