Mumbai: Three killed when two-wheeler collides with dumper on bridge
Mumbai: Three people, including two women, were killed when a two-wheeler coming from the opposite direction collided with a bridge in Parel in the center of Mumbai on Tuesday morning. Police said.
The accident occurred at 6.15 am when the three men, aged between 22 and 25, were heading towards south Mumbai, an official said.
He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead, he said. “All the deceased were friends from the university,” he said.
He said that a case of accidental death has been registered in Bhoiwada Police Commissionerate.
Police suspect that a nap by the two-wheeler driver could have caused the accident, adding that they are investigating the matter.
Two of the deceased have been identified as Tanish Patange (24) and Renuka Tamarkar (25), police said.
