Sonu Sood found a fake video of himself, shocked to see this!
Mumbai: Actor Sonu Sood, known for films like ‘Dabangg’, ‘Happy New Year’, ‘Aagadu’ and other films, was recently sent a deep fake video of himself by one of his followers on social media.
The actor clarified on Twitter that the person shown in the video is not Sood. He also shared a deep fake video with this post. In this video (fake) Sood interacts with a family in need of money for treatment and assures them of financial assistance.
The actor wrote in the caption: “My film Fateh is inspired by real life incidents related to deep fakes and fake loan apps. This is the latest incident where someone pretending to be Sonu Sood tried to extort money from an unknown family by chatting through video call. Many innocent people get trapped in this trap. I request all of you to be alert if you receive such calls.”
Interestingly, inspired by such incidents, the actor made his new thriller ‘Fateh’ which is written and directed by him. He wrote the story after more than a year of research and interviews with victims, cyber crime police officers and ethical hackers. In the film, he plays the role of an agent of an investigation agency who is on a mission to save the country from cyber crimes.
