Kochiya arrested with 14 country and 5 liters of English liquor
Raigarh. Gharghoda police team cordoned off Kargil Chowk and arrested a person with illegal liquor. Police station in-charge Gharghoda Inspector Sharad Chandra had received information from the informer that Ravi Shankar Dewangan, resident of Amlidih Gharghoda, sells liquor illegally and even today he is coming towards Gharghoda on foot from Chaal Road with liquor.
On the instructions of the station in-charge, the Hamrah staff under the leadership of Assistant Sub Inspector Wilfred Masih laid siege to Kargil Chowk Gharghoda and arrested the suspect Ravi Shankar. On checking the bag with him, there were 07 pav of Golden Goa, 07 pav of desi plane and a plastic bag inside it. 5 liters of Mahua liquor was found in the jarkin. When the suspect Ravi Shankar was interrogated regarding liquor, he could not give any satisfactory answer. After the suspect was found to be transporting liquor for illegal sale, Gharguda police accused Ravi Shankar Dewangan, father Hemant Kumar Dewangan, age 34 years, Chuna Bhatta, Koshtapara, Kotra Road, Hall, Location, Amlidih. Action has been taken under section 34(2), 59 (a) of the Excise Act at Gharghoda police station. Assistant sub-inspector Wilfred Masih, constables Udhoram Patel, Prahlad Bhagat and Sumit Oraon were involved in the liquor raid proceedings.
