Raipur. Agricultural scientists have said that farmers should preserve the fertility of the land to get abundant production. For this, they should use more and more organic fertilizers while reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers along with crop residue management. Apart from this, they will also have to adopt crop rotation. This information was given in the workshop organized at Pt. Shiv Kumar Shastri Agricultural College and Research Center Surgi, Rajnandgaon under the joint aegis of Chhattisgarh Science and Technology Council, Raipur and Farmers First Project, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi.
In this workshop organized on the occasion of 38th Foundation Day of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur, Dr. Akhilesh Tripathi, scientist of Chhattisgarh Science and Technology Council, inspired the farmers and students for conservation agriculture to increase crop residue management and resource utilization efficiency.
