AIIMS at Mangalagiri observes National Voter Day
Vijayawada: On Thursday, AIIMS at Mangalagiri celebrated National Voter Day with an insightful session led by Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar. The occasion specifically focused on engaging MBBS and B.Sc (Hons) Nursing students, marking their first-time participation in the electoral process.
During her address, the Union Minister underscored the critical role of choosing the right candidates for fostering a vibrant democracy and contributing to the overall development of the nation. Dr. Pawar also took the opportunity to interact with the students, encouraging them to leverage digital technology for personal development. She passionately motivated the students, envisioning them as the future healthcare warriors of the country.
Adding a practical touch to the event, Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar personally distributed voter identity cards to a select group of MBBS students. The distinguished gathering included Dr. TS Ravi Kumar, President of AIIMS Mangalagiri, Dr. Madhabananda Kar, Director & CEO of AIIMS Mangalagiri, Dr. Sreemanth Kumar Dash, Dean Academics, Dr. Desu Rama Mohan, Dean Exam, Dr. Deepti Vepakomma, Dean Research, and Dr. Vineet Thomas Abraham, Medical Superintendent. Col. Shashikanth Thumma, Deputy Director (Administration), was also in attendance.
Following the engaging session, Dr. Pawar conducted a comprehensive review of the AIIMS Mangalagiri project’s progress. Expressing her satisfaction with the advancements made, she offered suggestions for elevating the institute to the next level. The event not only celebrated the democratic spirit but also served as a platform for imparting valuable insights to the budding medical professionals.
