Deadly attack on car riders returning from event, 4 injured
Khargupur. Many people attacked people returning from the Manglik program with hockey sticks, iron rods and axes. Due to which four people were injured. The attackers also vandalized and damaged their vehicles. Police have registered an FIR against two named and other unidentified people under various sections.
Kapildev Singh, a resident of Achalnagar of the police station area, was going from his village to Gonda in two cars along with his other friends on Wednesday night. On reaching Khargupur, some people suddenly attacked the car with stones near Ojha flour mill. After an altercation, Naman Ojha, Akash Ojha and others attacked the car with iron rod, hockey stick and axe.
Ayush Dwivedi, Kishan Soni, Shikhar Singh and Ashu Gupta who were sitting in the vehicle were injured in this attack. The vehicle was also damaged. The victims said that the attackers were under the influence of alcohol and were attacking with the intention of killing them. The victim ran towards the police station to save his life and called the police.
The attackers ran away when the police arrived. Police Station Head Dinesh Singh said that based on the complaint of the victim, an FIR has been registered under serious sections against Naman Ojha, Akash Ojha and other unknown people. The injured were sent to CHC and got their treatment.
