Committed suicide by hanging himself with towel, body of student found in hostel

Bijapur. A student studying in Cheramangi Pre Matric Hostel of Ussur Block of the district committed suicide by hanging himself in the hostel room. The student was not even going to school for two days. The incident report is being lodged at Avapalli police station. According to the information, Xavier Kujur (13), a seventh class student studying in the pre-matric hostel in Cheramangi of Usoor block, committed suicide by hanging himself with a towel in the hostel room. It is reported that the student was not even going to school for two days.

Mandal convenor Ramprasad Sarke said that the hostel superintendent had informed the family of the deceased student living in Nukanpal on Monday that the student was not going to school for two days. The family had come to pick him up on Monday, but the student had run away from the hostel. After his family left, he came back to the hostel in the evening. Slept after eating dinner at night.

The Divisional Convenor further said that on Tuesday morning the Superintendent also stayed in the hostel until the students left for school after having breakfast. After this, student Kujur came back to the hostel and made a noose of towel in the room and hanged himself. According to the divisional coordinator, this incident happened around 11.30 pm. He said that the report of the incident is being lodged at Avapalli police station.
