Six gamblers arrested for betting on winning or losing
New Delhi. Kotwali police caught six people who were betting on victory or defeat in a public place in the village. Police have recovered Rs 2500 in cash and a deck of cards from the arrested accused. Kotwal Vimlesh Kumar got information that some people were betting on winning or losing near a tree outside the village in Gair of Kotwali area. As soon as the information was received, he immediately sent SI Sarvesh Kumar and KP Yadav to the spot. As soon as the police reached the spot, there was a stampede among the people betting on victory or defeat. Police caught Sonu, Santkumar, Anand Kumar, Raju, Rajkumar and Jumman Khan residents of Gair from the spot. While some people fled from the spot. Upon search, the police recovered Rs 1600 from the gamblers and Rs 910 from Malphad in cash and a deck of cards. The police have registered a report against all the arrested accused.
