BSP demands ownership rights for farmers on agricultural land
RS Pura, March 8: BSP state president Darshan Rana has claimed that the government is taking back the agricultural land on which the farmers of Nandpur village were farming for a long time.
During a protest here today, Rana called it a big injustice to the farmers and demanded giving ownership rights to the farmers on the land on which they have been farming for the last many years.
Rana said, “All the affected families of farmers belong to the Dalit community and they have been farming on these lands for the last several generations, but now the government is putting up boards on these lands and declaring them as government land.” For the last several days but till now no official has taken cognizance of this.” The BSP leader said that the government should do justice to the affected families as soon as possible, otherwise BSP will be forced to launch a big agitation in the coming days.
Raja Singh, Bishan Das Bhagat, Tilak Raj, Tarsem Lal, Ratan Lal, Tilakraj Bhagat, Gurudev Raj and others were also present at the protest.
