Bank manager’s body found in suspicious condition in hotel room
Almora. The body of a bank manager was found in a suspicious condition in a hotel room located in Lower Mall Road of the city. There was chaos in the hotel after the dead body was found. The police was immediately informed about this. After which the police reached the spot, identified the deceased and informed his family about the accident and filled the Panchnama of the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Tarun Gururani, son of Lalit Mohan, resident of New Friends Colony, Dahria, police station Haldwani, branch manager working in Central Bank of India, along with his another friend Suresh Chandra had come to Almora on Friday to meet a party in a loan case. Here he took two rooms to stay in a hotel near ISBT. The party they came to meet returned after having dinner with them at the hotel and Tarun and Suresh also went to sleep in their respective rooms. On Saturday morning, Tarun did not come out of his room for a long time. Suresh Chandra, who was staying in another room of the hotel, told that when he reached near Tarun’s room, the door was slightly open and he was lying unconscious near the door.
Blood was coming out from his mouth and head. After the information, Kotwali police reached the spot. Tarun was brought to the hospital through emergency service 108. Where after investigation the doctors declared him dead. It is being told that the deceased is originally a resident of Almora. Kotwal Jagdish Chandra Deupa said that it is not yet clear how Tarun died. Empty liquor bottles were found in the room where the deceased was staying. He said that something clear can be said only after the post mortem report comes.
