Truck crushed 6 girls, condition of all is critical, driver absconding

Ranchi: A sand-laden Haiwa truck crushed six girls in Tatijharia police station area of Hazaribagh district. All have been seriously injured and have been admitted to Hazaribagh Medical College for treatment. It was told that the girls, who were preparing for police reinstatement, were running on the banks of Khaira-Barkatha road. Meanwhile, a high speed highway overtook them and went out of control and entered a drain.

The driver of the vehicle fled from the spot. Here the girls remained lying there for a long time. Later, when a person noticed the girls, he informed the local people. Everyone was taken to the local hospital, but considering their critical condition, they were sent to Hazaribagh Medical College Hospital. The police have taken the vehicle into their custody. The injured girls include Nandini Kumari, Riya Kumari, Mansi Kumari, Pooja Devi, Lakshmi Kumari and one other.
