Joe Biden angry over the death of aid workers in Gaza in Israeli attack
Washington: US President Joe Biden has expressed outrage and grief over the death of seven World Central Kitchen (WCK) workers, including an American, who was killed in an Israeli attack in Gaza on Monday. “The deaths of workers providing food to hungry people in the midst of war is a tragedy,” Biden said in a statement Tuesday. The WCK workers killed in the Israeli attack on Monday were dual citizens of Australia, Poland, the UK, the US and Canada, and from Palestine. WCK said in a statement that its workers were attacked while they were working at a warehouse in Deir al-Balah More than 100 tons of food items brought for Gaza were being unloaded from the route. The US President said, “Israel has promised that it will conduct a thorough investigation of the airstrike on the vehicles of aid workers. The President said that accountability for the attack should be fixed and the culprits should be punished.” He said, “What is even more tragic is that this is not an isolated incident. Similar incidents have happened before. Biden said that Israel did not do enough to protect the aid workers helping the civilians. Biden said that America will make every possible effort to assist Palestinian citizens in Gaza.
