Hindustani classical singing event
Hyderabad: Surmangadal in collaboration with Telangana Tourism organized Hindustani classical recital by Pandit. Subhendra Rao on sitar and Dr Ashwini Bhide, a virtuoso on singing, performed as a part of the morning raga at the Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) at the Masab Tank here on Sunday. Pt. Shubendra Rao, internationally acclaimed artist, musician, cultural entrepreneur and music teacher enthralled the audience. A disciple of Bharat Ratna Pandit Ravi Shankar, Rao established himself “not only as a master of his instrument, but also as a thoughtful musician” and “a musical bridge to many cultures”.
