Jal Jeevan Mission: Life of the villagers of Bhuigaon changed
Raipur raipur news. Jal Jeevan Mission, a scheme launched by the Central Government to provide pure drinking water to rural families, is solving the problem of drinking water in many villages. Not only are people getting pure drinking water from this, but villagers are also becoming aware of water conservation. As per the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the work of Jal Jeevan Mission is being conducted rapidly in entire Chhattisgarh. In this episode, village Bhuigaon of Charama development block of North Bastar Kanker district is a village located 30 kilometers from the district headquarters, where the villagers who have been struggling for clean drinking water for years have got relief from the problem of drinking water under Jal Jeevan Mission. Earlier, the people of the village, especially women and children, used to fetch water by traveling long distances every day, which used to take them more time as well as physical labor. The villagers and the Sarpanch were trying to get rid of this problem. Many villagers were also forced to dig bores due to lack of water. chhattisgarh news To provide pure drinking water to the villagers, a plan was made by the Public Health Engineering Division Kanker to overcome the water problem in village Bhuigaon under Jaljeevan Mission and first of all, the correct situation of water shortage in the village was assessed. After this, work was started for tap water supply and pipeline was laid to provide tap connection to every house in the village. By constructing a water tank, water was supplied to the village through a pipeline from a water source located near the village and regular testing was arranged to ensure the quality of water. The Executive Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department said that water testing kits have been distributed to the villagers by giving them training to check the quality of water, so that the villagers can test the water themselves.
