Asifabad: A person committed suicide by jumping into the flood water

Asifabad: A 35-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping into floodwaters following a family dispute at Itiyala village in Dahegaon mandal on Saturday night. His body was recovered on Sunday. Dahegaon sub-inspector K Raju said Kotarangi Santosh took the step as he was depressed after a quarrel with his wife over some issue. Expert divers were called in to retrieve the body, which was recovered near the bridge from where he jumped. Santosh’s wife Bhudevi lodged a complaint with the police. A case has been registered. Investigation is underway.
