Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma meets Prime Minister Modi
New Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the capital Delhi on Monday. The Assam Chief Minister shared the photo of this meeting on the social media platform X.
He told that PM Modi was informed about the flood situation in Assam. Along with this, he also congratulated him on the beginning of his third term on behalf of the people of Assam.
Assam CM Sarma wrote on X, “Today I had the privilege of receiving the blessings and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During our meeting, I informed him about the flood situation in Assam and made him aware of the various efforts being made to mitigate the challenges faced by the people. I also discussed the status of the development work going on in the state. On behalf of the people of Assam, I once again heartily congratulate him on starting his historic third term.” Let us tell you that these days the havoc of floods is being seen in Assam. Due to the flood, water has entered many villages and houses. Due to this, life is disrupted. Many people are also forced to leave their homes. More than a hundred people have died due to the floods, while 24 lakh people in 30 districts have been affected.
Earlier, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren had announced a help of Rs 2 crore to the state government to help the flood-affected people of Assam. CM Himanta Sarma wrote, “Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has graciously donated an amount of Rs 2 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of Assam to help the flood-affected people. On behalf of the people of Assam, I wholeheartedly appreciate the generosity of the people of Jharkhand and the Chief Minister.”
