Panchkula resident duped of Rs 15 lakh in cyber fraud

Panchkula: Cyber ​​fraudsters duped a resident of Rs 15 lakh. Sector 8 resident Nikhil Khemani, who runs a factory in Baddi, said he was added to a WhatsApp group “Motilal Oswal Wealth Management”. The admin registered his account by taking his Aadhaar card, PAN card and bank account details and asked him to download an application on the phone. Khemani started sending money to the mentioned bank account. He transferred Rs 15 lakh, which increased to Rs 27 lakh as per the fake website. When he failed to withdraw the money, he realised he had been duped.
