Hyderabad: Light rain predicted till August 2

Hyderabad: The weather is clear since morning, but light to moderate rain and drizzle is likely in Hyderabad by Tuesday evening. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has predicted rain in the city for the next four days i.e. till August 2. Though the weather department has not issued any rain warning for the state, weather experts predict that there will be heavy rains from afternoon to night. East and central Telangana are likely to receive moderate to heavy rains in the night or morning.

Heavy rains lashed some districts of Telangana on Monday, with Mahabubabad and Warangal receiving 99.8 mm and 94.5 mm rainfall respectively. Hyderabad also received light to moderate rains during midnight. Golconda received 9.5 mm rainfall. So far, in the current monsoon, Telangana has received 438.6 mm more rain than the normal 344.6 mm. Hyderabad received 292 mm of rain, slightly more than the normal 271.3 mm.
