Telangana: Elderly woman dies in brutal dog attack

Rajanna Sircilla: An elderly woman, Pitla Rajalakshmi (75), died after being attacked by stray dogs at Sevalal Thanda in Mustabad mandal on Wednesday night. The dogs had eaten away parts of her body. According to villagers, Rajalakshmi lived alone in her house, which reportedly had no door. When she was sleeping, the dogs entered the house and attacked her. When her son reached home on Thursday morning, the dogs had eaten away his head and stomach. Expressing anger over the incident, villagers alleged that though children had been attacked by dogs earlier too, the authorities did not take any steps to prevent such incidents. As a result, now Rajalakshmi has lost her life. Locals want the authorities to immediately take steps to remove the dogs from the village.
