Decision to take out Ganesh tableau on the night of 19 September, police administration alert, know full details
Raipur: Ganesh immersion has started in the capital from Monday. The administration has decided to take out Ganesh tableau on the night of 19 September. Like every year, this time also the tableau will start from Sharda Chowk GE Road and reach Mahadev Ghat via Jayastambh Chowk, Malviya Road, Sadar Bazaar, Kankalipara, Purani Basti, Ashwini Nagar. This year there is no permission to play sound system (DJ) in immersion and tableau. The tableau will come out without DJ Dhumal Band. Although permission for DJ has been sought by most of the tableau committees, but no one is being given permission.
This time the administration and police are strict about DJ, because on September 11 itself, the government has written a letter to all the collectors and SPs and instructed that the use of DJ with sound more than the prescribed decibel should be completely banned. For this, the instructions of the Supreme Court should be followed. This is the reason why the administration is allowing only Dhumal, Band and Baja without sound system. The administration has appealed to use only traditional musical instruments so that others do not face any trouble.
The operators of DJ-Dhumal are angry with the government’s instructions. They have also protested against it. They say that their family is running on this. How will their family survive if DJ is stopped. Those who take out tableaux are also holding continuous meetings. There is a discussion among them that if DJ is not allowed, then the tableaux will not be taken out.
Every year more than 90 small and big idols are included in the tableaux in Raipur. Tableaux also come from Rajnandgaon. DJs are also there with the tableaux. Committees order big DJs, Dhumal and light systems from other states and cities. DJ plays all night. Whereas the court has banned playing sound systems after 10 pm. That is why this time the administration and police are being strict.
According to the court guidelines, DJ boxes cannot be hung in four-wheelers or cargo vehicles. They cannot even be pulled out and tied. Doing so is illegal. Continuous action is being taken on this too. Large boxes are being installed in the rear of cargo vehicles by modifying them. The government has also directed the Collector-SP to take action on this. These will be seized and action will be taken.
