Punjab: Health Minister distributed job letters to 586 youth

Punjab: Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh distributed appointment letters to 586 youth. Those recruited include 558 multipurpose health workers, 14 ophthalmology officers, six medical laboratory technicians, three stenographers and five ward attendants. Dr Singh highlighted the government’s efforts to strengthen the health department, under which 1,390 posts of doctors are being filled in a phased manner and the appointments of 435 house surgeons are currently in progress.
