Student jumps off hostel terrace in Kalahandi, alleges ragging by classmates

Kalahandi: In a shocking incident, a student has allegedly jumped off the terrace in Kalahandi district of Odisha and lost his life. The incident has taken place in Bhawanipatna at the hostel of a private college.

According to reports, the student a few days back has alleged that he had been ragged by his classmates. He was studying in plus II second year. He was rushed to the District Headquarter Hospital (DHH) in Bhawanipatna in a critical condition.

The relatives of the student filed a written complaint in this regard with the Town police station. The police has registered a complaint and has started a detailed investigation in this regard. Further detailed reports awaited.
