Punjab: Man poisoned his son and then killed himself

Punjab: Marital dispute claimed two lives in Moga’s Rauke Kalan village today. Gurbaj Singh, resident of Raniwal village in Muktsar, allegedly poisoned his 6-year-old son Mankirat Singh to death. Later, he too consumed poison and died. According to villagers, Karamjit Kaur of Rauke Kalan village was married to Gurbhaj 10 years ago. The two had been having a marital dispute for some time now. Gurbhaj reached his in-laws’ village today and killed his son Mankirat on the outskirts of the village and then took his own life. Badhni Kalan SHO Harvinder Singh said a murder case has been registered against Gurbaj on the statement of Karamjit.
