Himachal: Rs 5 crores cheated on the promise of getting petrol pump

Himachal Pradesh: In a shocking case of financial fraud, a family has been accused of duping a local resident of Rs 5 crore with the promise of getting him a petrol pump. The victim alleged that he gave the money to the accused but neither got the petrol pump nor got the money back. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS against seven members of a family residing in New Shankar Garden here in connection with the alleged fraud.

However, no arrests have been made yet. Police officials have said that they have issued notices to the accused to compel them to join the investigation. If the accused fail to respond or cooperate, police teams are ready to make arrests to take the investigation forward. They said that they have examined the financial transactions of the victim before issuing the notice, if the accused fail to give satisfactory answers or evidence in this regard, further action will be taken.
