Chandigarh: 22-year-old bike rider crushed by truck

Chandigarh: A 22-year-old motorcyclist going from Barwala to Dera Bassi was crushed by a truck on Barwala Road on Tuesday. The deceased Dheeraj Kumar was a resident of Dera Bassi and worked in a transport company. There was a huge traffic jam after the accident. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. In another accident, three brothers were injured when their SUV collided with a tree near Chhat Light Point in Zirakpur. The injured include driver Punjab Singh, who has suffered head injuries. The injured have been admitted to a private hospital. They were going from Rajpura to Dhakoli.
