Punjab: In protest against the slow procurement of paddy, BKU (Ugrahan) activists on Thursday allowed commuters to pass through two toll plazas at Kalajhar village near Bhawanigarh and Chotiyan village in Sangrur district for free. Thousands of commuters crossed both the toll plazas without paying any fee. The farmers raised slogans against the government. They also started a solid front there.
