Union Minister of State for Railways V Somanna reached SLRM Center and NTPC in Korba
Korba. Union Minister of State for Railways V Somanna was on a 2-day visit to Korba. During this, he took stock of NTPC including SLRM Center. Along with this, he held a meeting with the officials regarding other schemes including Jal Jeevan Mission and gave appropriate guidelines.
The minister expressed displeasure over the delay in other works including Jal Jeevan Mission. On the question of cancelling trains and increasing train facilities, he said that everything will happen gradually, I have come to Korba for the first time, by the time I come after this, the train system of Korba will change.
With the aim of encouraging the weaving community and promoting their art and handicrafts, Union Minister Somanna met the weavers group in Chhuri Kala Nagar Panchayat. He observed the process of preparing thread from Kosa (Tasar). Appreciating the hard work and art of the weavers, the Union Minister also emphasized the need to promote Kosa products at the local level.
