Countless fishes lying dead in Sapua river in Cuttack
Cuttack: In a shocking incident, countless fishes and organisms preying on them are floating dead in the Sapua river of Athagarh in Cuttack district this morning. It is speculated that someone might have poisoned the river.
According to speculations by the locals, some unknown miscreants have poisoned the Sapua river with some insecticides on Saturday night. As a result the bodies of fishes and aquatic fish preying organisms area afloat in the Sapua river.
However, a crowd of people was seen gathering to catch the dead fishes in Sapua river. The poisonous water must have been consumed by the fishes and the preying organisms which resulted in their demise. Due to the poisonous consumption by them they have turned inedible. The locals rushing to collect the fishes will be infected due to the poisoned fishes.
