Floods in Italy kill 13 people
Italy floods: Northern Italy is affected by floods (Italy floods). Due to unprecedented rains, many areas are trapped in flood waters. Due to heavy rains (Heavy Rains), rivers overflowed in northern Italy and flood water reached the cities. Due to this, people are suffering a lot. So far 13 people have lost their lives there due to floods. Thousands of people are moving to safer places. Officials said that half of the annual rainfall was recorded in some areas in just 36 hours.
Emilia-Romagna President Stefano Bonaccini said that due to the floods, there has been heavy property damage. It is said that these floods have especially damaged agriculture. I have never seen a situation like this before. It has rained at an unprecedented rate like never before. That’s why we are facing dire situations’, he said.
According to media reports, more than 5 thousand acres of crop fields were submerged due to these floods. More than 300 landslides occurred in Emilia Romagna region due to torrential rains. About 23 rivers are overflowing. Around 400 roads have been damaged due to floods. About 10,000 people are moving to safer places. On the other hand, electricity supply has been severely disrupted in many areas due to floods. Although authorities have partially restored power, about 27,000 people are still in the dark.
