21 Killed In Spain After Two High Speed Trains Derail
A serious train accident has occurred in Spain. Two high-speed trains collided with each other in the Adamuz region of Cordoba province. At least 21 people were killed in the accident. More than 100 others were injured. 25 of them are in critical condition.
A Renfe train traveling from Madrid to Huelga was hit by an Irúa high-speed train traveling from Malaga to Madrid, railway officials said. The accident occurred at 6:40 p.m. (local time) on Sunday. The military, fire brigade and emergency services were called to the scene after receiving information about the accident. Rescue operations are still ongoing. Officials said that some more people may be trapped under the rubble. It is expected that the death toll may rise further.
