Kerala: Principal admits college students were given wrong question papers

ALAPPUZHA: Serious lapse in the conduct of examinations at SD College. The question papers for the supplementary examination and the regular examination were administered differently. The Kerala University withheld the examination results after the lapse. In protest against this, the SFI has started a strike in the college.
The wrong question paper was given for the first semester exam. Those who appeared for the supplementary exam were given the wrong question paper of the regular exam, and those who appeared for the regular exam were given the wrong question paper of the supplementary exam. The exams were held in late December and early January, and the results started coming out on February 4. However, the results of the exams where the question paper code was ‘exchanged’ were not released. The codes changed because the teachers had given the wrong question paper. The university withheld the exam results after the code was changed. This is how the error was discovered.Students protested against the university withholding the exam results due to a mistake by the college authorities. SFI started a strike. Meanwhile, college principal Dr. V. R. Prabhakaran Nair admitted that the wrong question papers were given.
