Congress does not have Virudhachalam and Tenkasi constituencies: Erode East will be re-allocated

Tamil Nadu: Congress leader Ms. Selvaperundhakai stated that the Virudhachalam and Tenkasi constituencies, which the Congress party has already contested and won, have not been re-divided, and the Erode East constituency has been re-divided.
He participated in a discussion at the DMK alliance in Arivalayam, Chennai, on Friday regarding the selection of constituencies for the Congress party to contest in the 2021 Assembly elections, and later told reporters: Congress will contest again in the remaining 16 constituencies, except Tenkasi and Virudhachalam, where it contested the 2021 Assembly elections.
Since the alliance parties are contesting both constituencies, Congress is not contesting. Of the total 28 constituencies allotted to the Congress party, 23 have been identified. We are negotiating because the DMK is demanding one of the three seats won by the Congress in the 2021 Assembly elections in Kanyakumari.
He said that negotiations will resume for five more constituencies. Candidates will be announced very soon. It has also been reported that the Virudhachalam constituency will be awarded to the DMDK and the Tenkasi constituency to the DMK.
