TTV Dhinakaran appeals to CM Vijay: Seeks help in the treatment of the victim girl
Tamil Nadu: A sensitive issue has surfaced regarding Tamil Nadu’s politics and healthcare system. TTV Dhinakaran has appealed to Chief Minister Joseph Vijay for immediate assistance in the treatment of a young woman who alleges that her leg had to be amputated due to improper medical procedures performed by government doctors.
Dhinakaran made this appeal through a post on a social media platform, demanding an impartial investigation into the case and justice for the victim’s family. He stated that if negligence on the part of government doctors is proven, strict action should be taken against them.
The case is reported to involve Police Constable Kodandapani, who has been protesting continuously since 2021. He alleges that his daughter’s treatment was severely neglected, leading to her condition deteriorating and ultimately requiring her leg to be amputated.
According to reports, Kodandapani has been demanding justice and action in this matter for a long time. He has complained to the relevant authorities and administration several times, but has yet to receive a proper resolution.
In his statement, Dinakaran said that it is highly condemnable that a victim’s family has had to struggle for justice for years. He also alleged that there is no significant difference in the attitude of the current and previous governments, and that the victim is constantly being ignored.
He requested the Chief Minister to order an immediate investigation considering the seriousness of the case and, if medical negligence is proven, legal action should be taken against the guilty doctors. He also demanded that the government make full arrangements for the proper treatment and rehabilitation of the victim.
The incident has sparked discussion in political circles. Opposition leaders have also demanded a transparent investigation into the matter. However, there has been no official response from the administrative level yet.
