Bengaluru pre-school attack: AAP says government control over Montessori is necessary

Bengaluru (IANS) | A child was attacked by another child in a pre-school in Bangalore. A day after the incident came to light, Karnataka’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) unit on Friday said that government control over Montessori and pre-schools is necessary. Addressing a press conference at the party’s media office regarding the incident, AAP state working president Mohan Dasari said, in a commercial city like Bengaluru, couples are tasked with supporting their families and dealing with burning issues like rising prices. have to go.

They should send their children to Montessori or daycare centers. Hundreds of such accidents are happening in the city because the Montessori owners are only business minded and earning money without employing trained staff.

The state government should immediately take appropriate steps to monitor such incidents and curb them by implementing government guidelines and strict rules. He urged the government to take immediate action in the interest of children and parents.

Ashok Mrityunjay, Vice President, Bengaluru City, who attended the press conference, said that NCERT gave a report in 2013 itself and said that it should be implemented by 2016. The government has not yet implemented the guidelines of the report, it shows the irresponsibility of the government. He demanded that the Education Minister should immediately focus on this sector and appoint a commission.

Party secretary Sushma Veer said that the government should show a sense of motherhood and humanity in this matter. Government should take immediate strict action on these private Montessori to make children better citizens. They can look at the Montessori schools run by the AAP government in Delhi and open similar schools in the state as well.

Shocking video that has surfaced on social media shows the boy repeatedly assaulting the girl at a pre-school when the attendant walks her out of class with a child. It is shown in the video that during this time many more children were also present. Even when the helpless child tries to defend, the boy gives him no chance and sits on top of him and continues to strike.

The video, which has the voice of the mother of the assaulted child, shows the mother crying and sobbing as she watches her child being mercilessly thrashed. Parents have questioned the management over the absence of an attendant for five minutes in the classroom and the children being left on their own. Police has taken cognizance of the incident and is initiating action against the pre-school.
