A one-day seminar on the topic “G20 Summit” was organized at Agastyamuni College
Under the joint auspices of National Service Scheme and Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rudraprayag at Government Post Graduate College Agastyamuni, a one-day seminar on the subject “G20 Summit” was organized today, March 28, 2023, under the direction of Principal Prof. Pushpa Negi, which was inaugurated by the chief guest. Aruna Benjwal, Nagar Panchayat President Agastyamuni, Special Guest Ajay Semwal, MP Representative, Keynote Speaker Prof. Himanshu Baudai, Dean School of Humanity and Social Science, Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University, Rahul Dabral, District Coordinator Nehru Yuva Kendra Rudraprayag and Principal Prof. Pushpa Done by lighting the lamp by Negi ji.
Principal Prof. Pushpa Negi while welcoming all the guests said that it is a matter of great pride for India to preside over the G-20 Summit in 2023 and India has a unique ability to lead globally. Along with this, he also explained in detail about the usefulness of coarse grains.
After that, Chief Guest Aruna Benjwal, Nagar Panchayat President Agastyamuni told about the theme of G-20 year 2023 “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” in her statement. Along with this, he also said that the students of today are the future of tomorrow and our future is in their hands.
After this, special guest Ajay Semwal, MP representative said about the G-20 conference that when the objectives of these programs will be implemented by the youth in villages, cities, schools, then only these programs will be successful. He also inspired the students to move forward in life.
After this, the chief speaker Prof. Himanshu Baudai, Dean School of Humanity and Social Science, Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University told the students about G-20 in detail. Describing about the order of presidency of G-20, its functioning, international organizations like League of Nations, UNA, he said that in such organizations human tendency is always organizational, but at the same time he also wants to create his single image. Wants to build Highlighting the historical background of G-20, he explained how international organizations emerge and how they bring economic and social stability to the world. He also informed the students about the logo and theme of G-20.
After that Dr. Dalip Singh Bisht, the senior most professor of the college, while highlighting the aspects of environment related to G-20, said that God resides in the five elements. Describing the Indian tradition of believing in divine elements in trees, plants, forests, soil, rivers etc., he said that it is because of these traditional feelings that we do not harm the environment.
After this, Student Union President Mr. Gaurav Bhatt discussed in detail the Panch Pran done by India in G-20 and said that India is continuously increasing its importance at the global level.
After that the importance of G-20, India’s incomparable role during Kovid-19, the spirit of leadership was explained by Student Federation President Santosh Trivedi. He described the land of India as unique through his self-composed lines.
After this a “quiz competition” was organized by Rahul Dabral, District Coordinator Nehru Yuva Kendra Rudraprayag and his entire team on G-20 conference, in which Vikrant Chaudhary got first place, Neelam got second place and Mansi got third place. .
Along with this, a “declamation contest” was also organized by the National Service Scheme on the topic “Role of India in the G20 Summit” under the “Framework of Youth-20”, in which Vivek BA II year got first place, Diksha BA II year Second position, Sanchit Negi B.Sc 2nd year and Roshni B.Ed 2nd year joint third position and Ankit Negi B.Sc first semester fourth position. Dr. Krishna Rana, Dr. Kanika Badwal and Dr. Soni Arya performed the role of the jury in this speech competition.
