Bus caught fire, passengers narrowly escaped
Hyderabad (IANS). Over 40 passengers had a narrow escape when a government bus caught fire at Pedda Amberpet near Outer Ring Road in Hyderabad on Friday.
No one was injured in the accident. All passengers had disembarked before the fire spread.
The bus with 45 passengers was going from Hyderabad to Guntur.
A passenger saw the smoke and got the bus stopped. On being alerted by the driver, all the passengers got down from the bus.
A fire engine was rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control. The bus was partially burnt in the incident.
Preliminary investigation by RTC officials suggests that the fire broke out due to the air conditioner.
