Three interstate bald smugglers arrested with cannabis worth 80 lakhs
Chitrakoot. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Vrinda Shukla, a joint team of Kotwali Karvi and STF Lucknow arrested three interstate ganja smugglers on Monday. One quintal 53 kg five hundred grams of ganja loaded in DCM, one car, three mobile phones used in smuggling and Rs 1050 have been seized. It is notable that the police was getting information about illegal drug smuggling through different districts of the state for a long time. Various teams of Senior Superintendent of Police STF Lucknow compiled the information and gave instructions for action. Superintendent of Police Vrinda Shukla told that on Monday, a joint team of STF Lucknow and Kotwali Karvi arrested three inter-state ganja smugglers near Baghoda Tirahe. Hemp was being smuggled from DCM CG-4NS/7730. One quintal 53 kg 500 grams ganja loaded in DCM, one Tata Tagore car UP96/N 2365, three mobile phones used in smuggling and Rs 1050 recovered. During interrogation, the accused told that they smuggle hemp from Chhattisgarh and supply it in different states. In Chitrakoot, Vijay Kumar Gupta’s son Rajjan Gupta resident Jagdishganj gives it to Kotwali Karvi. The estimated value of recovered hemp in the international market has been estimated at Rs 76 lakh 75 thousand. He told that Vijay Kumar Gupta, Akshay S/o Late Sadhu Prasad resident of Amanpur Kotwali Karvi and Rajendra Chakradhari’s son Omprakash Chakradhari resident of Batang police station Amleshwar district Durg Chhattisgarh are being arrested and sent to jail under the NDPS Act.
