Cattle smugglers fled leaving cattle in pickup
Raigarh. Police action continues. In this episode, outpost in-charge Rairumakhurd sub-inspector Man Kunwar Sidar got information from the informer that in a white colored pick-up vehicle, animal smuggler farmer cattle were being crammed into the pick-up and taken to the slaughterhouse.
Outpost in-charge along with our constables Birbal Toppo and Pritam Tirkey, blockade was done near Bakaruma barrier for action, seeing the police blockade at around 2:30 pm, the driver of the pickup parked the vehicle some distance before the barrier and took advantage of the darkness. Picked it up and ran away. Chowki in-charge made arrangements to keep fodder water for 14 nos. of cattle without cruelly keeping feed and water inside the pick-up vehicle CG 13 LA-1747 and Chhattisgarh Animal Preservation Act 2004 was issued against the driver of vehicle number CG 13 1747. By registering the crime of animal cruelty under Section 4, 6, 10, information regarding the vehicle owner is being taken from the RTO.
